The Orient Association would like to monitor chloride levels — a marker of saltwater intrusion — for several years by setting up an annual chloride testing day. On August 22, OA and Mermaid Water Solutions will set up a table outside the Orient Country Store to provide homeowners with test kits to retrieve their home water samples.
