Two Great Speakers:
- Joe Finora – Town Engineer for Shelter Island and Southold Trustee will speak on the Shelter Island experience regarding water conservation and what lessons can be learned for a community like ours.
- Jason Hime – Principal Public Health Engineer at Suffolk County Department of Health Services, will be reporting on Water Quality in Orient including updates on the 4 private well survey areas in Orient that are being tested for exceedances of PFAS compounds. He will also talk about the vulnerability of Orient’s aquifer and how we can all help protect our water.
